The location was stunning and lovely for exploring Clovelly.

I adored the charming decor of the hotel, which perfectly reflected the historic essence of Clovelly. The cozy lounge area offered both comfort and fine views of the harbor.

More accessible dining options for seniors would help.

The hotel was clean, pleasant, had kind and informative staff with good service. The location was peaceful and historic for my stay, 300 metres from War Memorial. The area was local near to the harbour, the restaurant, and the bay of an early morning.

Nothing to dislike.

Efficient staffs, gave a few recommendations. Unbeatable and brilliant location, within walking distance of everywhere. Positioned in the extra comfy area.

The kitchen definitely needs to improve on food presentation and packaging!!! Disposable cutlery and containers feel so unrefined for a place that charges premium prices. More attention to detail would enhance the overall experience!!!

perfect spot for harbor views and city exploration

I really loved my time here, especially the beautiful view of the harbor from my room and the convenient access to the fine South West Coast Path just a short walk away. The only area to improve could be the room size as some might find it a bit on the smaller side.

The stunning sea views were absolutely breathtaking! 🌊 The only downside was the accessibility of dining options. a few more choices would have been great for breakfast.

I stayed for one night and chose a Superior Double Room with Sea View, which offered a delightful view. The location is stunning, right by the harbour, but do be prepared for the steep hills and cobbled paths, which can be challenging for those with mobility issues. The food was decent, but I wish there had been more variety on the menu. Staff were helpful and accommodating, adding to an overall pleasant experience. Clovelly is a unique village worth exploring, but its steepness might not be suitable for everyone.

The cozy room with a beautiful sea view had a lovely balcony where we enjoyed our morning coffee, and Jo was so helpful in arranging fresh lobster for dinner which was a good treat.

Some minor issues with service timing.

We enjoyed the cozy atmosphere and fine views of the ancient fishing harbour. We even took a boat trip around the bay, such a fun experience! Just a heads up, the facilities are a bit vintage, so be prepared for that. Will definitely revisit!

Unfortunately, we found the dining experience a bit underwhelming. The food was served in cardboard boxes with disposable cutlery, quite disappointing given the beautiful setting. We expected more from the meals.

The Superior Double Room with Sea View was really nice. Super comfy bed and fine views of the ocean! The decor was charming, giving it real character. Big fluffy towels were a nice touch too. The only downside was the lack of air conditioning, but the sea breeze helped a lot. A cozy spot to relax after a day exploring Clovelly.

An Idyllic Getaway with Lovely Views

The harbor bar's takeaway lunch was delicious, especially the chips! Don't miss the lobster dinner- divine. A tip, request a room with a balcony for the best experience.
